Shopping in Trowbridge?

Does anyone know what the High Street is like for shopping in Trowbridge? (Particularly keen on rummaging in Charity Shops).

Any good Towns approx within 15 miles that you might recommend too?

Thank you

Quite a few of charity shops though I never felt there were any very good ones there. Frome, Bath and Warminster are all nearby though - Bath is the best of them for shopping I would say but the others have a few charity shops each as well.

Trowbridge has a New Look, Waterstones, Monsoon, Next, Argos, Sports Direct, MK1 or whatever it's called now, I think a Peacocks, off the top of my head. A bit outside of the main town (5 min drive) there's a TK Maxx and a Matalan.

Bath has a lot more options in terms of High Street shopping, Warminster and Frome have fewer.

Many thanks, really appreciate your detailed message. Will check out Bath too.

Much appreciated x

As pp said, Bath is lovely and way better for shopping.

I actually much prefer Warminster to Trowbridge as towns go, even if it is smaller. Quite a few charity shops unless it’s changed drastically since I was last there.

A lovely town to wander round is Bradford On Avon, very historic, a few quaint interesting shops but not charity shops. There are a few charity shops in Trowbridge.

Chippenham is awash in charity shops.

We recently spent a week in Bradford upon Avon and loved it. Frome is a nice little town for shopping as it has lots of independent shops. I agree that Bath is excellent.

If you go to Bath the best place for charity shops is Moorland road. Lots on one small local street, free parking in co-op car park, nice bookshop and cafe and then you can go in to Bath too if you want the bigger shops.

Bradford on Avon is a very charming little town.

Trowbridge is terrible. Don't go there.

Agreed, Trowbridge isn’t nice.
