Morning wise mumsnetters!
We’re going to Suffolk for the first time next week and wondered if anyone had some recommendations of where to go.
We are camping and love to explore the area, happy for a bit of a drive too.
Thanks in advance

Needham Lakes - lovely for a walk and a picnic. Great playground. Nearby Alder Carr farm shop is a lovely place to eat and stock up.
Ickworth House - National Trust place with lovely gardens and great parkland for walks.

Helmingham hall is beautiful - only open tues, wed, thursday and sunday - moated manor house with drawbridges. Youre not too far from sutton hoo. Felixstowe typical british seaside resort with pier. Aldeburgh for a posher seaside place. Framlingham for the castle on the hill.

It’s about half an hour to Thetford. High Lodge has it all - cafe, bike hire, great adventure playground, Gruffalo trail, Go Ape, segways….

Thanks all so far, these look great. Should have said we are just 2 adults so will be avoiding playgrounds like the plague 😂

If you like history, West Stow Anglo Saxon village, and Sutton Hoo. Framlingham castle. Woodbridge is a nice town too, as is Bury St Edmunds. Clare is very pretty. Get an OS map and plot some walks (and pubs)?
