Preston

We are thinking of moving to Preston, in the Lostock Hall area but don't know of what is free or cheap to do with my 3.5 year old and my 2 y.o. What are the local schools like and is there a nursery I should aviod. Okay, I knoww that's rather a lot to ask but worth a try.

All my family are from Preston, and I used to visit regularly as a kid.

My cousins still live around Lostock Hall, so I'll help if you need it, but there are plenty of Preston lasses on here, so hopefully more up-to-date and relevant (my cousins are big, hairy blokes) advice will come your way.
