Edinburgh fringe

Hi everyone. We are currently in Edinburgh and thinking of booking to see the Twits performance at Pleasance Courtyard on Sunday.

The weather forecast isn't very good though and I wondered if any seasoned 'fringers' (or locals!) might be able to tell me if a performance at this venue would be doable in the rain. We'll have small children with us (youngest is 3yo) and don't want a miserable experience!

is it advertised as an indoor or outdoor performance?
"normally" the Pleasance Courtyard is home to lots of performances in different rooms (some are barely any bigger than a broom cupboard!) and the courtyard is an outdoor bar area.

I think it's indoors if my memory of the various stages at the Pleasance Courtyard is correct.

Probably too late now but in case anyone else comes across it, I heard an advert on local radio and it referred to "weather proof outdoor venues".

I thought all performances were supposed to be outdoors this year...?

No, that’s not the case, I was at a show in the Storytelling Centre on Saturday. Indoors with empty seats between groups of people.

We decided to risk it! It was outdoors but under canvas - an event marquee type of thing 👍
