can anyone recommend me a nice but cheapish self-catering place or hotel in bayswater or earls court? or any other central locations will also be gratefully welcomed!

You could try holidayrentals.co.uk - I would imagine that anything self catering in London would be expensive. When is it for and what are you looking to see?

It's for next July...there was one place a friend had recommended, think it's called Hyde Park Apartments in Bayswater but it says accommodation unavailable or booked up. i wanted to book for two weeks in July. don't know if their server is down tho...
