Cheltenham?

For one reason and another, on Sunday I'm going to find myself in Cheltenham for the day with the kids (8 and 5).
I've never been - any suggestions as to what to do for the day?

We're outdoorsy people so would prefer something active, but the weather looks like it might be a tad wet and windy.

We'll have access to a car so a short drive is doable. TIA!

Cotswold Farm Park is always good for a visit even in the rain. There is a gorgeous lido in Cheltenham, but they are still on very restricted slots which makes it less worth a visit (and no cheesy chips which is usually a highlight of eating those in your bathers).
If you are going to eat in Cheltenham, can I recommend Bar 288 - they do great noodles, and are very child friendly.

There are nice parks - try Pittville park, good play area, 2 cafes and houses the historical pump room.
Montpellier park is in the “posh” bit of town and also has a nice cafe - and a little art gallery.

I forgot this one. If you like a steam train, you can take the GWSR from Cheltenham race course and get on and off. Broadway (at the end of the line) is lovely - about 10-15 minutes walk from the station into the village centre and there is a good playground between the two points.
