Things to do around Longleat

We're going to Longleat and have booked a local b&b for a couple of nights so looking at other things to do in the area on the other days. Traveling from Kent so things in between home and Longleat would also be good. Dds are 14 and 11.

Stonehenge is nearby (and on the way) - well worth a visit and has a great little museum too.

It might be a bit far for you if you don’t want to do too much driving, but I’d definitely recommend Wookey Hole. Bath is also fairly close.

Glastonbury perhaps?

Thank you. Driven past Stonehenge a few times, don't really feel the urge to visit. Wookey Hole looks good though, if it's worth the drive? Also thinking a city/town visit one day. Maybe Salisbury? We're going to Bath in a separate trip later in the summer.

If you do Wookey Hole you can also do Cheddar gorge. Some amazing walks and not too far from Wookey hole so makes a day of it.

Stourhead isn't far from Longleat, it's one of my favourite NT places.

Ooh, we have NT membership but have barely used it over the last 18 months, may have to cram in a visit there too.

Wookey hole isn’t worth the drive, it over priced and you will be bored after a hour with older kids, we went 2 years ago, the cave tour is great and the Icecream but nothing else.

Prefer stourhead and king Alfreds tower also Shearwater (nice for a walk). We like Frome, Glastonbury and Wells.
