Holiday Must Do’s?

Taking our first break (Wales) as a blended family of two adults, two teenagers and two youngers (5&9)
What activities do you always make time for on your holiday that really ‘make it’ for you? We’ll have plenty of beach time, and we we all love bodyboarding, etc - but what other activities (campfire, sleep out under the stars, etc) would you recommend to make it special?

When on holiday we always play games in the evening rather than watch TV. Cards, board games or party games. A particular favourite on family holidays is the name game, where everyone writes six names on pieces of paper then everyone takes it in turn to describe the people to their team to guess. You can buy versions of it. We’ve played one set so often than now we only allow one word descriptions. So “freckles” is James Cordon, for example; it’s a long story involving a grandparent not actually knowing who James Cordon is. Has us in stitches every time.

@Chemenger thank you, had thought about board games, and had forgotten how funny the name game could be - good call!

Age appropriate things. So occasionally different activities for the teenagers and the younger ones. Nothing worse than trying to do everything together as often it ends up suiting noone.

@helpfulperson good shout - certainly something to be mindful of. It will be nice for the teens to do activities that the youngest can’t rather than just catering to them 👍🏻
