Bude

We're going to be staying near Bude at the end of August and whilst we've been to Cornwall several times, we're not familiar with this area and so want to make the most of it.

Any recommendations for best beaches, coast walks, places to visit and nice places to eat? We have two young teens.

Conscious that it will be busy so would like make any bookings now.

Thank you! Smile

Fab fish and chips at the New Inn in Kilkhampton. Are you staying at the static caravan site near Sandymouth Beach? Their little bar/restaurant (cafe) is quite nice. Definitely go to The Weir. Instow Appledore are lovely & we tend to drop in for the day on our way home - John's delicatessen is there (one on each side) with lovely take out to eat on the beach.

@Dreamscomingtrue Elements burnt down very recently - very sad.
The Bank at Bude was very good last time we went but haven't been for a few years. St Nectan's Glen is worth a walk (near Tintagel) - Google it, it's lovely.

North Devon Wakepark is good for a day out with teenagers

@Leah2005 and @SeaGirl2 thanks v much for those suggestions, really useful.

We're staying near Kilkhampton so may have to sample those fish and chips!

I'm sure my DS would like the sound of the wakepark.

We like to leave early (from Midlands) when we travel down to Cornwall but our accommodation isn't available until 5pm, so any suggestions for good places to spend that day would be great.

Just coming back to say thanks again for all your tips and recommendations. We had a lovely holiday and it was just so nice to be back in Cornwall sea swimming, coast walking, and eating far too much fudge.

Now to think about next year 🙂
