How long to allow for HMS Belfast

I’m taking my 7yo to HMS Belfast once it reopens. I’d like to take him to the Imperial War Museum after that but obviously both need timed tickets.

I can’t find a proper answer on how long to allow for HMS Belfast.

I’m only speaking from pre-Covid experience. It depends if everything is similar to how it was back in the good old days, e.g. if the Gun Turret Experience is running etc… We spent nearly 2 hours on board but did have to spend a bit of time retracing our steps to find DD’s misplaced sunglasses. I’d say 90 minutes is a fair time to allow.

We have IWM season passes and my DC love HMS Belfast in particular but it’s a short visit - would say 2 hours is enough. Duxford or the big IWM you can easily spend several hours in, they’re huge with so much to see.

I thought we’d be best off at HMS Belfast first. DS loves Duxford, so I’m looking forward to taking him to these two.
