Insurance for covid

I want to go on a coach trip -it's just a day trip with stay in hotel overnight then another day out the next day then come back.
But if I get covid and can't go then I won't get a refund
Is there any insurance that I can take out that would cover me for this? And would there be an excess if you did claim?
Sorry I don't do lots of traveling as you might be able to tell

I really, really, really doubt you would be able to get insurance for this, but if you did it would then cost you an arm and a leg.

If you can't afford to lose the money, you need to find a company with a more forgiving policy on being able to re-book if you get COVID symptoms (after all, they will want everyone else on the coach / mini-break not to get it).

Ah right ok
Thank you for the info
I'm not sure there's another company who does this trip but I'll double check

www.coverwise.co.uk/
We paid £30 for a family of 4 to cover a planned Portugal trip in august and it covers the risk of you having to cancel if you have to cancel due to testing posting or if you are told to self isolate

I'm faffing about with a quote from Holiday Extras for a week in the Channel Islands. Various policies are offering me cover if we are ill before and/or ill whilst away.

One of the policies has zero excess, another £50.

If you approach it via a money saving site like Quidco it might work out quite cheap for a short trip.
