Outdoor things without DC in London

I’ve got 10am-4pm by myself in London one Saturday soon.

I’m going to try to get a slot at Hampstead Women’s pond. After that I’m at a bit of a loss what to do. Normally I’d go to the National Gallery or similar but I don’t fancy it in a mask.

What outdoor things are good to do alone right now?

I need to be at Kings X for 4pm.

Walthamstow wetlands.

Hire a Santander bike and cycle from St James park into Hyde park. The bikes aren’t very expensive and you can do it without going on any roads.

Seconding a walk along the Regents canal and maybe pop into Camden market for some street food.

Highgate cemetery, both sides are open.

Lots of helpful ideas. Thank you.

Somerset House appeals and I’ve never been.

I do love a bit of street food, so the Regents canal walk to Camden would be nice too. I’ll have to see how much I can fit in.

@MinnieMountain just a warning that Camden will be very busy. Avoid if you're not keen on crowds at the moment.

MinnieMountain · 06/06/2021 09:21

I’m not bothered by crowds.

Although having had a proper look into the suggestions, I think I’ll mainly do the canal walk. I can end it near King’s X.
