Coal Drop Yard

Going to London with DCs to see the trainers exhibition at the Design Museum and want to get a late lunch before heading home from St Pancras.

Anyone recommend a good restaurant in Coal Drop Yard?
DCs are 12 and 14 and quite adventurous eaters.

Adjacent to Coal Drops Yard in Granary Square, is Dishoom. interesting Bombay Irani food, quirky surroundings and attentive friendly wait staff. Perfect for that age I reckon. I love it.

Dishoom is generally a queue and walk-in place, but they're taking bookings at the moment outside peak evening time. I was there last week at about 3pm, having booked a day or two before.

Dishoom sounds interesting.
Can you give me some examples of the meals there please?

Just spoke to DD about trying Coal Drop Yard and she saiid she wants to go to Wagamama's (again....) 🙄

Here you go. There's a link to the PDF full menu there, I think.

We were in Bob and Marty's on Saturday. Good food, reasonable prices, good vibe.
(Though only one unisex toilet)

There's a branch of Caravan at Granary Square?

mashpot · 01/06/2021 17:26

Arabica is lovely and there’s a good Mexican too, Casa Pastor. Can’t go wrong with Dishoom either.

Caravan is good.
The Lighterman pub is huge, lots of tables inside and outside so easier to get a table without booking (and menu is fine).
