Recommendations on evening activities

This is going to sound a bit silly, but I’m looking to cut down on my drinking and have a UK holiday booked for a couple of weeks time.

What do you do in an evening for entertainment that isn’t sitting in a bar? I’ll be in a hotel so can’t really just hang out in the room.

I have a restaurant booked for each night but what do people do afterwards? It’s going through be in Bath so local recommendations welcomed.

Oh I should say no kids - just me and my husband.

If it’s light enough, we might go for a stroll (if we haven’t eaten a big meal).
Invariably we do just hang out in the room... we like board/card games and often have a box set on the go. Sometimes we plan future holidays.

We take the dog out later as its quiet you get some great sunsets.

A night time ghost walk tour?
Cinema
See if any spa hotels are doing twilight sessions
Are the theatres open?

The Thermae spa in bath used to do evening sessions on their rooftop - that would be a fun and romantic way to spend the evening.
A lot of bars are really upping their game with non-alcoholic drinks and n-a beers at the minute, so that could be an option if sitting in a nice bar is appealing

In Bath you can book an evening session at Thermae Bath Spa where the pool is on a rooftop terrace.

You have to book in advance - but looking down into nighttime Bath whilst swimming sounds heavenly.

Thanks everyone - really helpful! I’d looked at the bath spa for the daytime but an evening option is a really great idea.

We did the post dinner ghost tour last time we were in Bath. I’ll be honest, it was a bit naff but something to do and we got a good tour of the city
