Birmingham mid-high restaurants

Hi all

I'm looking for a mid to high level restaurant in the centre of Birmingham, not far from the train stations.

It's for a client lunch - so ideally somewhere beautiful and delicious!

Any ideas?

I've been suggested San Carlo, Fumo and The Ivy so far, which are all at the right level, but looking for anything independent and swanky that also might work...

Thanks!

No idea what is open or not but there are loads of expensive swanky restaurants in the Mailbox

Adams, Fazenda or Purnell’s

I've had lovely meals in BANK in brindley place. Also Opus but that was a long time ago and not sure it's still there. But both definitely more of a 'treat' type places. Hotel du vin is always nice too.

Have you looked on trip advisor and ranked the restaurants based on reviews? I've found some wonderful places doing that. I haven't eaten out in bham for a few years.

Adam's is great

San Carlo and Fumo are different restaurants, both lovely but I prefer Fumo.

Also look at
Mowgli in Grand Central
The Oyster Club
Sushi Passion in Great Western Arcade (quite small though)
Tattu
Adams

You could also look at all the restaurants at the mailbox but most are quite chainy, lovely views though

Independent Birmingham is good for finding independents. I’m not up to date on the city now, but often hear about Adams.

Thanks all, will check them out!
