First of all, apologies for mentioning the "C" word when it's only April Blush but hey, these are strange times.

Working on the (possibly foolish) assumption that life will have returned to some semblance of normality by Christmas, I am looking for some suggestions for a family get together within a 1 hour radius of Bristol. 3 adult couples and three children (6 months to 6 years old).

I am just about to embark on a day of communing with Mr Google, but if anyone has any hidden gems that they would like to share it would be great. I am totally unfamiliar with that part of the UK.

Self catering preferred but not averse to some sort of resort/hotel with cottages type place if such a thing exists - I am guessing that there isn't some secret UK equivalent of Efteling in the area Grin

Budget isn't unlimited, but no issues with splashing out a bit for something lovely.

TIA

Middlewick in Somerset would be ideal with small children. However, the largest cottages only sleep 6. If you don’t want to split up, I’d recommend Upper Court www.uppercourt.co.uk and The Moretons moretonsbredon.com in the Cotswolds

Thanks @Fivemoreminutes1

Those both look lovely - just the sort of thing we had in mind.

No issue with seperate houses - I am well past the age of being delighted at being jumped on by small children before dawn Grin
