Norfolk coast

Thinking about summer holiday options this year...

Can anyone tell me whether the Norfolk coast tends to be quite windy in the summer months? And if so, is the west coast (I believe it's called the Royal Norfolk coast?) is any better or worse than the North Norfolk coast?

Any useful tips highly appreciated...
Thanks in advance!

Not especially, no. Especially sheltered beaches are Hunstanton, Wells, Heacham and Holkham.

I've never found it too bad. Beaches face East and prevailing wind in that part of the coast tends to be from the west. Went to Old Hunstanton a couple of years ago and it was lovely.

Yes it can be very windy. Windsurfing and kitesurfing is popular as a result.
