Does anyone know if they send your villa number before your holiday? On the pre-registration form it says bring your booking number and villa number with you. ... but haven't got a villa number. We have been sent a map and would love to know where our villa is in relation to everything else.

Anyone recommend any particular activities? We're going to Longleat.

Does it not say your number on your final confirmation letter?

what type of accom did you book?

(Longleat is massive!)

I found it - doh! It was at the top of the letter. We have basic cheapest accomodation!

You will have a great time im sure- we went to longleat last decemeber ( we go to CP the week before xmas every year) I liked longleat, but we were used to sherwood- so longleat seemed to big for us.

have a nice time x

is the week before christmas cheaper/quieter than other school-holiday weeks? I guess los of people wouldn't think of going just at that time. We've been to ssherwood a couple of times and it would be good to go at a time when the pool complex is less crowded.

tiredemma · 25/10/2007 07:41

yes- the first year that we booked it was because it was one of the cheaper weeks of the year. When we got there it was fantastic- its called 'christmas countdown week' and its all xmassy- father xmas, fairy lights in trees, pantomimes- all christmas activities.

We go with a group of friends now and book the luxury 4 bed ones with hot tub as it keeps the cost down to share!

I wouldnt go at any other time of the year, the facilities are still fairly busy but not like i imagine they would be during peak weeks.

We buy lots of nice food on the way up there and take it in turns to cook a meal every night and on our last night we go out for a meal.

We are going on dec17th this year for four nights- cannot wait!

ThreadyKrueger · 25/10/2007 07:46

ooh, sounds lovely. I'd like to do that. I bet you have to be super-organised though, to have holiday and have Christmas ready for when you return.

tiredemma · 25/10/2007 08:27

we always go to PIL for xmas

So I dont really have much to do!!

MissInvisible · 25/10/2007 08:29

were off to whinfell on 16th nov and they are setting all the christmassy stuff up for 6th, so we cant wait either!, going to indulge in a massage this time, but book weel in advance as the last twice i couldnt get one as waited till we got there!
