Local restrictions affecting UK holiday?

So I live in NW, in an area of increased local restrictions, and I've booked a break in Dorset for next month.
Staying in a hotel.
It's a low risk area, but am I not supposed to travel there?
Be kind to me: I don't understand what I can or can't do.
Safety of others/ morality aside, what is the current situation?
