Boating Holiday Recommendations

We are considering hiring a narrowboat or cruiser for a week's holiday next year in the UK, just the two of us. Does anyone have any recommendations of companies to use or places to go. We would quite like to go somewhere where we can stop and eat along the way rather than cook every night but other than that don't really mind.

Have a look at hoseasons boating section and it will give you an idea of the areas that are typically used and types of boat.
Once you have picked an area you can search around for what you want.

We had a small cruiser on the Great Ouse from Ely for a couple of days at the end of August and had a lovely time.

We used Richardsons at Wroxham.

Be aware that there are only limited mooring spaces at some pubs so you may plan to go somewhere then find you can't park up - or have a longer walk than you had hoped.

Don't let that put you off though - the Broads is a great place for a boating holiday.
