Friend has offered me her holiday home in Cornwall worried with covid cases on the increase in Cornwall. Would it be a good time to go?

Covid cases rising everywhere. If you can stay for free, or at least get your money back if you need to cancel because of restrictions then I'd say go for it. But, bear in mind the weather is starting to get cooler which may limit how much there is to do down there. Lots of indoor attractions will be closed due to covid?

Unless you live in Cornwall, it's not a 'staycation'. It's a holiday.

Personally I wouldn't go to Cornwall at the moment - they have very limited hospital space, and we should minimise unnecessary travel.

Cornwall is a holiday if you don't live there.

Yes, I would go.

I’d go. In fact I am going for 3 nights next month. I’m only over the border in Devon and my local hospital in Plymouth serves much of Cornwall anyway. Also agree it’s not a staycation.

Thanks everybody for your comments, have spoken with friends who have been and they have said it was atrocious in Cornwall this year, overcrowding and nobody was socially distancing. Apparently shopkeepers, restaurant and residents were all saying the same how rude people were. Quietening down now, so will risk it, thanks.
