Looking for places to go out near Minehead. Don’t mind driving 1 hr or so away. Ideally inside

I live down that way and there's not a lot to do around here! What sort of thing did you have in mind? Hestercombe Gardens near Taunton is nice, or there's Exmoor Zoo. Otherwise, it's a lot of walking and country pubs!

@Mybobowler I couldn’t find much on the internet either. We’re going on holiday there in October. It’s 4 young adults and 2 young children so the zoo sounds like a good idea but can’t find anything else like that, only outdoor walks and it will probably be raining then!

The West Somerset Railway
Dubstep Castle, gardens and water mill
Bishops Lydeard Mill, rural life and transport museum
Ilfracombe Aquarium

The steam railway is quite fun. Stop in one of the towns for lunch then return.
Dunster castle and Dunster village
I think you can get day passes for butlins (pre covid anyway) but they are pricey.

We’ve been to dunster castle and will probably try that again if it’s open. We’re actually going on holiday to butlins but as it’s apparently tricky to book the activities and shows we are trying to find other places to go aswell

Watchet, porlock or Dunster are nice and very quaint. Flip Out in Wellington is good fun for kids. Dunster Castle, the steam railway, Barrington Court worth a look. Also, Lynton and Lynmouth aren't too far away.
