Cheap London hotel

Looked at Travelodge and PI my usuals for UK but they are more than I want to spend- budget is around £30-40

Need one night , double room, near Hyde Park or within 20 mins walk. Mid week.
Has anyone stayed at the easyhotel?

in the past I have stayed at international students house, and also a difm room in london school of economics..hostels are not bad, and it doesnt have to be dorms

Would you consider a youth hostel? There's several in central London. They do private rooms too although I'm not sure what your budget would get.

I've stayed at the Easyhotel in Croydon, but kit central London. It was OK. VERY basic as you'd expect No TV, and the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, but clean and functional.

Easy hotel Victoria. Not stayed there but it meets your criteria

Easy hotel Victoria is okay,bigger rooms are better. Though the shower/toilet really is tiny, airplane sized.
Easy hotel Paddington is disgusting and best avoided.

Though not a quick walk to Hyde park, have you checked hotels in the city, as it's so empty there might be some bargains.

You’re really pushing it for price & location on £40, tbh. £60-70 would be cheap. If you don’t want to share bathrooms or take a chance on an unknown B&B style place, EasyHotel sounds your best bet. If you’ll travel farther then you can get better value.
