Chichester - day out

Does anyone know where to visit in Chichester or surrounding towns such as Arundel? The castle and west wittering beach are fully booked so can’t go there. Is there anything else to do. I heard Littlehampton is near as well?

If you're into art Pallant House - we went a couple of days ago, there's a reasonable sized Barnett Freedman exhibition on and some other stuff, well worth it. They are doing timed tickets but the website's a bit glitchy, we rang them and they said the final email will have the right time on it and voila it did.
We had lunch at Cotes? Cote? Very nice!

Here's Pallant House - pallant.org.uk/

Cote - plenty of room, good service, felt safe.

Wetlands Trust (Arundel), with lunch at the Black Rabbit riverside pub?
Amberley Museum (38 acres of exhibits) - with posh afternoon tea at Amberley Castle if you want to push the boat out?
Portsmouth Dockyard? (Museums, boat trips, shopping...)

Portsmouth dockyard has reopened. I think you have to pre book. Gun Wharf Quays right next door and along from that is old Portsmouth which has a lot of history.
