Re locating to East Devon

Hey everyone

We are re locating to East Devon but unsure of where! Great schools are a must as we have 2 under 2. We have been looking at Seaton, Sidmouth, Colyton and recently Ottery St Mary however we were warned off Ottery due to flood risk but there are good schools. I’m a keen Gym goer and love walking with the kids to shops etc.

Any help would be so appreciated, it’s so hard to know where to look!

Thanks in advance

Ottery is quite hilly, so it shouldn't be hard to find a house away from the bit that's prone to flooding. I know more about secondary schools than the local primaries - the Kings School (state, non-selective) is meant to be excellent.

Colyton grammar is very good, but incredibly competitive to get into because it serves East Devon and Exeter.

With two little ones, being by the sea might be nice - but do think about ease of getting places like Exeter for something to do on a rainy day.
