Scottish Holiday

Hi,
We live in Northern England and have a much longed-for holiday in Scotland booked for a few days time. Nothing in any cities at all, really quite remote, just exploring & camping with our kids in proper sites (not wild camping although it appeals to my inner rebel!)
The biggest covid exposure we will have is likely to be supermarkets & the occasional pub meal.
I am aware that predictions are tricky, to say the least, at the moment - but do you think that there's any point in doing all the prep and going away, or that it's likely to be cancelled due to covid, or otherwise not worth trying to do?

(This far, I've not found lockdown too tough but the prospect of everything re-escalating is just so scary.)

Just back from the west coast and Arran, we found it to be safer as its much less populated so less busy, Enforcement was also good.

It's not likely to be cancelled as case numbers are low (with the exclusion of small clusters ie Aberdeen - unless of course, you're booked to visit Aberdeen area).

I would say though the only thing you might come up agains is that some small/rural communities/individuals aren't being that open to visitors/tourists at the moment as they don't want the risk of the virus.

It won't be cancelled, weather is lovely. Lots of lovely scenery and places to explore too.

Weather is absolutely shite 😂 don’t kid them on mum6546.

Whereabouts are you going OP and we can possibly recommend some things for you.

I think some visitors are finding it hard to find things to do as usual attractions are closed and pre-booking required for some food outlets/activities.

Thanks for your comments, @Funf @wannabebump @Mum6546 @TrollTheRespawnJeremy & I'm sorry that I didn't get back to you before now.
We spent a fortnight travelling & camping around the West Coast, Skye & Speyside and had a great time - the weather was better than we could have hoped for, hospitality was top class, Covid-compliance was faultless everywhere, the wide open spaces were virtually empty despite the reported busy-ness.
Really fab, we all feel refreshed & raring to go* for the next school year.

(* this may be an exaggeration but you get the gist. Scotland is brilliant.)
