We are off to salcombe in August, with children aged 8-14. Any recommendations for walks, beaches and general things to do?
Thank you

Paddle boarding lesson?

Great idea, we are experienced paddle boarders so wouldn't need a lesson but hire might be good. I've rented a boat for one day, wondering where best to go?

Take the ferry across the estuary to East Portlemouth and do the 4 mile walk to Gara Rock beach. As you wind down the cliffs you’ll find a secluded cove with a soft sandy beach that’s perfect for sandcastles (or swimming if you’re brave!)
Blackpool Beach is a great spot for a swim. It’s also possible to hire kayaks and stand-up paddle boards.
You can catch a ferry from South Sands beach, but first you have to take the sea tractor into the sea to then get onto the boat, which is quite fun! The boat ride takes you into town onto Whitestrand where you will find the shops and eateries.
Salcombe Dairy ice cream shop is the best ice cream in the centre of town, with a fantastic variety of flavours including the famous Salcombe mud!
Go crabbing on the walls of Victoria Quay.

@Ricekrispie22
Thank you so much for the advice, just the sort of thing we were looking for!
