Romantic Break - need ideas

Need recommendations for a romantic night away. We want a spa at the hotel preferably with lovely grounds we can explore and relax in.

Not stupidly expensive I’ve seen one advertised for £699 a night and we are looking at more £200-£300

It’s our 10 year Wedding anniversary and we’ve never been able to have a night away yet since we’ve been wed.

A friend of mine has agreed to stay at ours and look after the kids one of whom is disabled so we want to make this night count so who knows when we could get away again.

We’re looking in Kent, Essex, Surrey, Oxford, Sussex sort of areas.

Thanks so much

Maybe try Hand Picked hotel. I have stayed in a couple and they were lovely.

I have been meaning to try The Pigs. They have a few hotels about that have amazing reviews.

We're just giving this thread a bump in case anyone's around with some more suggestions for the OP. Happy anniversary! Flowers

The Swan in Lavenham is worth a look - is in Suffolk but only a few miles from the Essex and Suffolk border-Lavenham is a lovely little village not sure the hotel has grounds though. Sorry, doesn't tick all your boxes but l have heard great things about it.

The pigs are lovely but haven't got a spa attached.

Limewood is lovely but you may struggle to get a room within your budget but you could stay at the pig and book the limewood spa.
