London - restaurants?

Hi, I’m going to London in a few months to celebrate my OH 30th and so looking to plan a night out. We are staying near Mayfair and looking for somewhere to eat on a Saturday night. We want to get a bit dressed up and go somewhere a bit ‘posh’ but that is a bit lively ? Can anyone recommend anywhere?

le caprice might suit? It's quite posh, and they have a piano player from 6:30PM. So not exactly people dancing round tables, but there is a nice atmosphere.

Park Chinois, Mount Street or Sexy Fish

The Wolseley is really nice, laid-back ‘posh’ so not uber glitzy but good food and atmosphere. Or Murano (Angela Hartnet’s fab place).

Another vote for Sexy Fish.

Circus in Holborn is fun and good food too.

Charlotte Street has some cool bars and lots of places to eat too - we went to a cheap (!) Michelin started place there. Think it was called The Ninth / bloody delish!!

I was going to say Sexy Fish as well. MNKY HSE is also a good option if you’re not that much of a foodie or the Italian Novikov

Amazonica

I work in Mayfair, I love it there! Where are you staying? The Connaught for drinks would be lovely and if you fancy a cosy pub for drinks then the Punchbowl :-)

I keep seeing Amazonica pop up on Instagram is it new? We are staying in the Coronthia, I’ve seen Connaught rooms too on my searches, looks really nice there
