Hey everyone! I am just wondering if people are planning staycations this year with Covid? And if so, where are you planning on going? 😊

Hoping to get back to South Wales in August - Caswell Bay in particular. It's gorgeous and there's a lovely chalet park a short week from the beach.

We are hopefully planning on going to north wales at the end of July, near Bala. However if air corridors are set up and we can travel abroad we may do that too as our holidays at Easter and May half term were cancelled.

We are going to Blackpool for some nostalgia and family fun! We stay in this hotel usually called The Doric which is on the promenade overlooking the sea. It's won awards for being the best family hotel in the UK and it's lovely. Children's entertainment, nice food etc. Perfect for the kids!! 😊😊

Had booked South Hams Devon to try out our new windbreak! They cancelled. Unclear policy. And to be fair, the owner contracted Covid. Looking forward to getting to the beach though. Surfs up.

Can’t wait to get caravan out later in the summer hopefully. Moved to Scotland just before lockdown so want to explore.

@Houseplantmad Caswell Bay is our favourite beach in the world!

jakeyboy1 · 14/06/2020 18:34

@2catsand2kids tell me about Bala that's where I'm looking

Funf · 14/06/2020 19:16

Its lovely, nice small town, just enough of the stuff you need, fantastic lake, you can drive around it or get a train trip, depending on where you live you can call at Llangollen or Pistyll Rhaeadr water fall on the way

Barmouth isn't too far away if you fancy the sea side

Haggisfish · 14/06/2020 19:19

We are going to carswell too!! Or maybe not now realising how popular it is!Grin hoping to go to South Wales self
Catering and Yorkshire Dales.

jakeyboy1 · 14/06/2020 19:34

Do you think Wales will be open?

Haggisfish · 15/06/2020 11:06

Yes I do. I don’t think holiday locations will survive unless they allow at least self catering properties to open.

Clarkozy · 15/06/2020 13:10

Self-catering will be best. Yet they may need 72 hours between booking for the cleaning regime. Life's a beach.
