Merlin passes, worth it?

I am just wondering if this would be any good for me. I am a single parent to 3 girls aged 17, 13 and 5. I have been looking at short breaks in the UK. I am in Essex and really want to take them to Alton towers and the splashpark.
Thanks for any advice

If you'll get the use out of them. There's a calculator on the website. We used them heavily for a year and enjoyed them

We have them but we don't live too far from Alton Towers and have made a lot of use of them. Work out how many times you will go then look at all the offers there are for buy one get one free tickets.

Would you use them at the London attractions, Chessington and Thorpe Park on a regular basis?

You can stay at Alton Towers and get a discount but it is still quite pricey unless you can go out of the busy times. Standard passes have restrictions on weekends and summer months and Scarefest so you would probably want Premium passes if you want to go in the summer.

They have other benefits such as 20% off food and drink in the park.

If it is really AT you are interested in they do a season pass which is just for AT and is about the price for a single entry but they also have restrictions unless you pay more.

The water park isn't included. You get a discount of I think 20%.

We love going but it all depends on how much you will use them.

I guess I was thinking I would make a point of using them. We went to Thorpe park last year but I have just worked it out and its about £600 for passes so that's a no go!

We have had ours since the summer and have made a point of using them but I won't bother renewing them.

Have been to all the London attractions a few times, except Shrek as I couldn't face doing that again, plus a few of the theme parks. They are expensive though, although you can apparently pay monthly and spread the cost.
