For two adults and our 18mo dd. Looking for places that have blown you away ideally.

Four seasons Hampshire is stunning- really loved it there but I suppose it depends where abouts you’d like to go and what you’d like to do?

Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve is also a wonderful experience which your little one would also enjoy. I’d class this as more of a short break kind of place .

Lime wood, Dormy House

If luxury self catering then Unique Homestays is where to find something amazing, luxurious and unusual

Forest Holidays- Blackwood Forest. Absolutely beautiful, luxury accommodation with incredible views

Luckham park bath, beautiful countryside, pool and spa, very clean and luxurious

Fistral beach hotel in Cornwall, next to sea, gorgeous coastal views, can fly to Newquay. Also has pool and spa. Again clean and luxurious but more relaxed.

Marking place!!

We went to Balbinny in Scotland - amazing pool that we had to ourselves. Also Chesters Stables / Walwick Hall in Northumberland.

Was it Balbirnie in Fife, @hopeishere ? balbirnie.co.uk

Watergate Bay is really nice and very child friendly.

Thank you! I'm so looking forward to working my way through this list later Wine

Just on a side note, we want the holiday to be all about dd, with loads things for her to see and do. I find so many child friendly resorts etc are tired and grubby ( tend to have a Premier Inn feel, at Four Seasons prices!!)
We're looking for somewhere more special that caters for little ones. Asking too much??

No @OllyBJolly it's here

It was really lovely.

OllyBJolly · 04/01/2020 20:05

Ohhhh - thanks @hopeishere . That's a new one to me . I might give that one a try. Thank you!

Basilicaofthemind · 04/01/2020 21:24

In that case I’d definitely recommend Watergate Bay. I wasn’t sure if it would be luxury enough but if you want somewhere you’ll feel really comfortable with a toddler then it’s perfect. Sadly can’t afford to go anymore now we’re limited to school holidays.

Watergate Bay or Another Place.

Our DD at that age enjoyed a mini break at Carden Park, but it's not really designed for children.
