Belfast for New Year

Hi - any recommendations for places to go/see/eat etc for Belfast at New Year.

We're visiting family in Northern Ireland over Christmas and thought we'd tie it in with a trip to Belfast, probably arriving New Year's Day and staying for a couple of days.

Any recommendations gratefully received.

Titanic museum, Crumlin Road Jail, and if you are interested the black taxi tour of the history of the troubles. A visit to the Crown bar or the cathedral Quarter. Botanic Gardens and the Ulster museum are great if you have kids. If you have access to a car and wish to go further afield the North Coast drive visiting Giants Causeway. Its a very beautiful and welcoming place.... Enjoy!

After dark, take the train (only about 15mins) or drive (only 9 miles) to Lisburn for the light festival visitbelfast.com/event/lisburn-light-festival/ There are a few good places to eat in Lisburn: Slice, Boston Grill, Square Bistro and Ed’s bar and grill.
