African restaurant London

Can I have your recommendations for an African (any sort that’s truly decent and delicious) restaurant in London?

I have a old and dear friend coming into town and we would love to have dinner at any sort of genuinely delicious African restaurant (I don’t mean this in a really ridiculous white person don’t know that Africa is a whole continent sort of way), like genuinely any truly really good and authentic sort of restaurant is great.

We used to live in South Africa together (that’s how we met) and friend has lived in Burundi for the past 8 years and is moving to Rwanda shortly after we meet up). So really any truly good African restaurant would be good but I’m partial to anything South African (not Shaka Zulu!) or Ethiopian. I work in Central London but don’t live in London or go out in London much so I’m a bit clueless!

Some good choices here, including a couple of Ethiopian restaurants:
