Between Christmas and New Year for a little solo break?!

• seaside, nice stroll by the sea
• high street shopping
• couple of little cafes and pubs for breakfast, lunch or a glass of wine

2.5 drive from West Midlands max so that rules out Cornwall and Scotland...

Whitby is miles away (although I suppose that depends where in the midlands)

Llandudno?

I am strongly considering Llandudno just a bit concerned it'll be too much like a ghost town in December?

Did you ask this the other day? If not, have a search around because somebody asked the exact same thing and there were lots of ideas.

Abersoch

People live in Llandudno all year around, just check opening times, the cafes etc open to capture a lot of day trippers even on the bank holidays.
I would head for North Wales.

If you go to Llandudno
Conwy will be open its 10 mins away walk the walls of the medieval walled town, plenty of pubs and cafes and its free.
Rhos on sea is 10 mins in the other direction, nice sea front couple of cafes / pubs
Angel bay is just by the little orm, nice flat or steep walk if you are lucky you should see seals in the sea.

Well Whitby is an hour longer than your maximum drive. Why 2.5 hours out of interest?

Weather at that time of year could add travel time too

Hastings has a lovely feel to it, quite alternative. Rye isn’t seaside but is lovely. Llhen peninsula or Gower.

I said 2.5 hours as I just can't be arsed to drive any longer 🙈

Dont bother with Abersoch. Its dead during the winter.

Llandudno wont be.
