Leeds Bars help!

Hi,

I went to Leeds a good few years ago with DP & we stumbled across a few bars altogether in a little (seemed little could have been huge!) pedestrianised area (We were staying at the Radisson)
I'm going this weekend with my friends & would like to go back to that area but cannot remember what it was called or any of the bars there.

Any ideas wise Leeds mumsnetters?!

If its The Radisson blue the the bars are millennium square towards city Hall or further up where there is tiger tiger and a small collection of bars.
Enjoy 😊

Call lane Smile

Tiger Tiger closed a while ago now

The Calls is a good bet as to where you went

Lots of lovely bars that did used to spill out onto the street and everyone just mingled together -it's a bit more controlled nowadays but still a good night out

Granary wharf is also a great place for a night out

Leeds isn't that big, all in easy walking distance of the Radisson

I think it was the Radisson Blu we stayed at, in the light complex?
I'm staying at the Marriott this weekend, but knew the area was within walking distance of the Radisson Blu.
Also I think the weather is going to be rubbish so need all the bars next door to each other!
I may have a look on Google maps at those areas see if it comes back to me.
Thanks Grin

@PennysPocket tiger tiger closed last year unfortunately 🙈
There are some lovely bars in Leeds, depends what you are looking for. Fancy cocktails head towards trinity and you’ve got the botanist / alchemist.

Greek Street also has lots of bars and is closed to traffic.

blindedbytiredness · 06/08/2019 21:22

Greek street is also pedestrianised, could also have been merrion street though. I agree with a pp granary wharf is lovely though that's where me and DP always head nowadays Smile

Haha x post!

Yes I know but the OP said she last visited a few years ago so I used that pub in order to give her the general area that she may remember.

Jeez folk really do love to put people down anyway they can. Hmm

Itsonlytuesdayqwer · 07/08/2019 07:14

@PennysPocket I just presumed you didn’t know as some people don’t who don’t go to that side of the city.
Lighten up a bit no ones putting you down!

My guess would be Merrion street. Some really cool bars on there all in a run - Mojo, Verve etc. It could also be Call Lane (arts cafe, call lane social etc). Unlikely to be Greek street - quite chainy.

GreyGardens88 · 14/08/2019 20:08

The area around where Tiger Tiger was is chav central

MissCalamity · 17/08/2019 21:33

It was off Lower Briggate (sp?) Opposite the Viaduct show bar, as soon as I saw it I remembered!
Only a hop skip & a jump from the hotel as well.
Thanks for all your suggestions 🙂
