Hey!

Me and my partner are staying in Bristol for a week from the 15th, can you give us ideas for fun day trips/days out? We've been to longleat and I also went to Uni in Bath so know Bath well. We were also thinking of a road trip to Barry Island.

We are from Cornwall so don't know what's about!

Thanks 😘

I wouldn't go to Barry from Bristol. Esp if you are from cornwall. Blaise castle, Bristol zoo, westonbirt, cheddar, national trust properties. Forest of Dean or Wye valley.

If you enjoy Industrial Revolution facts the Clifton Suspension Bridge has a visitors centre and you can book a hard-hat tour of the foundations. The nearby gardens (pay to park and walk to the bridge as they don’t have a car park) are lovely, too.
We’re a bit nerdy about Isambard Kingdom Brunel...

What about Clevedon to see the lovely pier? You could also take in Cadbury Camp en route

Wild Place

We the Curious
Westonbirt
Tyntesfield
Clevedon
Lacock (bit of a drive)

M Shed www.bristolmuseums.org.uk/m-shed/

Matthew of Bristol matthew.co.uk

Wookey Hole Caves and Cheddar Gorge

Weston Super Mere is barely half hour on the train. Sandy beaches, a pier of rides, odd and quirky shops, fish and chips!

If you want to see some of the filming locations for Downtown Abbey, Wolf Hall, Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter and more, you could visit the National Trust village of Lacock.

We the Curious is very hands on, as much fun for adults as kids.

There are also places to eat nearby that are all in large shipping containers, if you are foodies
