Hi Smile

My lovely DP has a birthday coming up in July. We went to London on our first break away a few years ago and have fond memories of the trip.

We live up north and after recently moving house are counting the pennies! I can get the mega bus for £22.64 return for both of us! However, the bus comes into Victoria and looking at the local hotel prices, I'd have to win the lottery before then!

Any advice on places not too far from there which will be more reasonable. As we only plan two nights I'd prefer something close to the main attractions.

TIA

look on airbnb? you might find somewhere a bit further out but on a tube line that you can come in on. check the travel times on google maps or TFL.

Have you tried the travel lodges or holiday inn. Trip advisor could also give you ideas for b&bs.

Premier Inn in Clapham is the nicest of the cheaper Premier Inns I’ve used. Others are fine but on busy junctions or a long way from the centre. This one is a short walk from Clapham Junction which is a few minutes from Victoria on the train. Rooms regularly less than £60 a night.

Thanks for the advice all.

I will check out all of these suggestions!
