We like Bath as a weekend away.
Have lunch in the Pump Room
Go to the Roman Baths
Royal Crescent
Open top bus tour -not very long but we do it in all the cities we visit.
Good for shopping too.

Not far from London....

What about going to the town and country - it is on the bank holiday weekend and a really good show. Stay in warwick or leamingotn in a b&B plenty about.

If you don't want to go to the show you could see the castle, or go shopping in leamington - a few good shops and some nice bars to eat at.

the train is £10 each way from London to warwick for both of you so £20 return for both of you or by car its an hour and a half ish

Oooooo Warwick Castle is FAB!!

We spent a lovely day there on one of their 'jousting' weekends. I lusted merrily away after the black Knight all day, dh liked the sword fighting, bowmens' tales and we didn;t even go into the castle....

ivykaty44 · 28/07/2007 19:59

here is the link They have replaced the jousting.

If you do want to go let me know as I have 2 £5 off ticket you can have to save on the entrance fee. I can sent them poste restante to your nearest post office.

smeeinit · 28/07/2007 21:05
