Ardingly or Handcross Park (HXP)?

Hello everyone, would anyone be able to help? We are seriously considering placing our son into the nursery/reception year of Ardingly or HXP, and then for him to stay on in the school. He is around 2 atm. Our questions are:

  • Does anyone have a child in either school who has a good load of opinions to offer? This could be in terms of subject opportunities or happiness in school, or anything that comes to mind. We know that HXP is probably more academic but we have been to the school and the pupils seem happy and helpful and enjoy non-academic subjects too.
  • Why did you choose the school
-Why didn't you choose the other school?
  • How many tests and exams do the students need to do in prep school?
  • Is there anything we need to know about in the school that won't be mentioned in an open day?

Also anyone else considering these schools, we wld be keen to have your opinions too!

Thank you for your help!

Hi,

I went to Ardingly when I was younger and have a 2 year old. We had him down at the nursery there but decided against it. Feel free to msg me directly and I can explain further.
