Suggestions for a weekend in Liverpool?

DH and I are tagging are going to Liverpool for a weekend in early June and keen to get any tips you might have for things to do, restaurants, bars, culture?

Total Liverpool virgins, so happy to do obvious touristy stuff but also up for any more unique suggestions those in the know might have.

Hope St - Hotel, two cathedrals, Everyman Theatre, restaurants.

Walker Art Gallery and the Central Library.

The Docks - Tate Liverpool, museums, water!

Sefton Park Palm House.

Crosby Beach - Antony Gormley’s Another Place Sculptures.

We are Londoners trying to get to know other UK cities better, so quite excited...and will definitely go back again in future.

very easy to get around, quite a small city, loads of free museums, Bold Street fab for food, Concert Square or the Albert Dock for drinks outside, shopping good, massive new Lush shop, Baltic area for interesting food and bars , indoor crazy golf bars, great street entertainment and friendly people....and if you're lucky, you'll see the young girls in town wearing their rollers in their hair before a night out!
