Heyyy...
I and my husband both doctors with 2 young children are living in morden London.Recently he had been offered a good GP post in north Devon so we will be moving there in July.We are looking for lively friendly community..good schools.
It is going to be a big change for us.
I have read about Tavistock and Kingsbridge been good?
How is Exeter?
Looking forward to any suggestionsSmile

All of those place you have mentioned are a long way away from north devon!!!!!!

Where will your husband be based? North devon is generally Barnstaple/Bideford area. Exeter would be an hours drive away, Tavistock about 1.5 hours and kkngsbridge would be about 1.5 hours away. During the summer that would increase with all the tourist traffic.

where will you be based? Tavi and Kingsbridge are not N.Devon and not easy roads if you are commuting up.

My sister relocated from Bristol to North Devon a number of years ago. She absolutely loves it, as does my nephew. They live in the Bideford area and can see the sea from their house, it's about a 10minute walk (if that) to the beach. They've been welcomed into the local community as if they have lived there forever.

There are two good FB groups you could join - A Place in North Devon, and Westward Ho! Community. Both are very friendly and might give you some ideas.
