Somewhere fun for primary children for midweek half term break

Looking for somewhere for a couple of nights midweek in half term. Preferably within 3 hours drive from midlands but could venture further for the right place.

Something like centre parcs but they don’t seem to have the option of arriving on a Tuesday (and are extortionate!)

We’d like a pool and a playground. We wouldn’t make use of evening entertainment.

We all like food, walking, rollercoasters and rock pools.

We do have a tent but I was hoping for something less labour intensive!

Any ideas? Thank you

Primrose Valley is a Haven park in Yorkshire, not too far from the coast. One of its best features is the pool which has slides and a splash zone. It has loads of extra activities similar to Centre Parks, such as a go kart track, climbing wall, pottery painting, archery, bush craft, kayaking etc... It’s close to Scarborough and Bridlington, both of which have fun beaches with funfair rides. The nearest beach is Filey which is about 5 minutes drive. Filey Brigg has some good rock pools to explore and marks the end/start of the Cleveland Way Walk.
