Harrogate short break ideas

My dd17 and I are going to Harrogate next week for a short break. We have a session booked at the Turkish baths. Any recommendations for places to go and other things to do? I like country walks, she likes shopping and sleeping!

Definitely go to Betty’s tea rooms.
RHS Harlow Carr is not far at all and well worth a good visit.

We walked through the very beautiful Valley Gardens and followed the trail to RHS Harlow Carr I suppose it took us roughly an hour to walk there. Lovely walk and HC is well worth a visit. We treated ourselves to a two course lunch in Betty’s at HC, amazingly good and such a treat! Enjoy!

The drum & monkey is the best restaurant

Try the Tannin Level, better than the Mum and Drunkey and yes that is deliberate...

I think Harlow Carr gardens are a right royal rip off
The valley gardens are free and much better and are right in the centre of town so very easy to walk too

Agree re Valley Gardens.

Actually the best restaurant is the Italian Connection. Try the lobster and salmon ravioli.
