Manchester restaurant recommendations?

Looking for pre theatre drinks and dinner in the city centre and trying to pre plan before next week.
Any suggestions?

Hawksmoor if you like steak... Dishoom for Indian... The Ivy if you want lush surroundings... Glamorous for Chinese... Fazenda for South American all-you-can-eat steak with a great bar attached...

Following as we are also going to the theatre next week (Les mis?)

Think it's the Palace. Not sure whereabouts it is though. Looking for something nice.

The Palace Theatre is near Oxford Road train station. Gorilla is supposed to be good for pre-theatre good and there's a couple of Italian restaurants at the bottom end of Oxford Road (St Peter's Square end).

Wood restaurant! They often have a pre theatre menu, it's new so very lovely done out and their playlist is unique - includes a lot of "throwbacks" to the classic rock times (soft ones obviously no heavy metal!) So was interesting to reminisce on punk era days! It's co owned and designed by Simon wood who won master chef a couple years ago
