Does anyone have any cheaper/better alternatives to Forest Holidays lodges?
They are so flippin' expensive and at the one we went to in the Forest of Dean all the lodges were so close together that we were looking out onto one neighbour's car and the other's hot tub (bleurgh).
We don't need much in the way of on-site restaurants or entertainments/activities. Just a lodge somewhere green and a town nearby.
