Any suggestions? Need somewhere that does 'proper' Sunday lunch, ideally carvery (but not Wetherspoons).

Thanks!

Does it need to be in the City? If not the Soar Bridge Barrow Upon Soar does an excellent carvery

Theres the Old Horse on London Road that does carvery. Not had it, but their other food tends to be good.
Further afield I had a nice carvery at the Pig in Muck a couple of years ago. That's about 15-20 mins South of the city centre I believe.

Brilliant, thank you so much!

Any other suggestions, in Leicester itself would be helpful, though we can drive a bit if necessary...

The Orange Tree in the centre does a good Sunday lunch.

A second vote for the Orange Tree here, if you want something central.

Orange tree is v. good. (W,spoons no longer do Sunday lunches BTW.) The greyhound in Lutterworth do a great Sunday lunch and the shambles on the square in Lutterworth also do a good value carvery with fresh vegetables and all the trimmings!

Orange Tree does a lovely roast, but it's quite trendy. The Globe is also very nice for a Sunday lunch if you want something more traditional and cosy.

Thank you all - I will book one of them!
