Center Parcs - PLEASE tell me about swimming pool adult:children ratios!

Apologies for the repeat of this question. I hijacked another thread with a couple of questions, but didn't get an answer to this one.

We are first timers and have booked a week in early July at Sherwood. DC are 7, 5, 2 and nearly 3 months (we live in Spain where school holidays start early so don't shout at me for taking kids out of school ). Anyway.... our brochure arrived today and there is a ratio for adults to children for the pool (1 adult per child under 4; 1 adult per 2 children aged 4 to 7) . Is this enforced? If so it means we can't take all the kids in the pool at once. It does say it's OK in non swimming areas, by which I assume it means the toddler pool?? 7yo is a competent swimmer, 5yo still using arm bands.

I have been quite a few times and i really wouldnt worry, I went with my dh and another couple and in total we had 4 children between us (8yrs,3yrs,2yrs,16 wks) whilst we were in the pool we took it in turns to look after each others children, so at MOST times it would be me, dh and the 4 dc which is pretty much the same as you guys will be no one batted an eyelid... If anyone was (in the most unlikely event) to ask if they are all yours i would just say '2 are my friends she has just nipped to the loo....

btw - if any of you children want things like hair braiding or any activities then make sure you pre-book! they get very booked up!!

no its not enforced (well never seen anyone turned away). the main pool has an area screened off which neither of the elder two should cross without an adult (imo), especially when the waves are on. tbh you have to do your own risk assessment - you know your children, their capabilities and yours. just make sure that as adults, you know who is responsible for whom when in the water.

other point is that the toddler pool is a walk away from the main pool, so would say you all need to be in the same area. - start queuing for the pool at 9.45 if you want to have the best choice of seating and bagging a cot! or go in when everyone else is getting out for tea.

also in the spa area there is a quieter pool and bubble pool where the eldest could do lane swimming and you could sit in the bubble pool with baby

stargate and greyriver - thanks so much for your replies. it puts my mind at rest that we're not going to be the only family at CP not making use of the pool! i'm not sure how we'll work it, but prefer the idea of making my own mind up about it when we see what's there than being told by CP what we can and can't do. Looking forward to it again now

I agree with everyone else. No one's ever stopped me due to child ratios. BTW Centreparcs provide body float vest thingies in 2 different sizes so you can use them instead of or as well as your arm bands.
