Last year we went down to London to see The Cursed Child and to do London tourism stuff with dd - she loved it. The whole experience. She's about to start Y7 and a new school. We've all had a bumpy year and want to end 2018 with fun.
Anyone got suggestions for a show. But overwhelming looking by myself so I am being lazy and asking for your help. Dh loves Young Frankenstein - the movie, anyway- but I'm not sure for dd.
School of Rock? Other suggestions?

At the moment, Young Frankenstein is only booking until the end of August this year.
My DH was outvoted by me and my DC when we were deciding on a musical last year and so he reluctantly watched The Lion King and enjoyed himself immensely (although doesn't like to admit it!) School of Rock is highly recommended too.

What about the pantomime at London Palladium - Julian Clary, Dawn French, Nigel Havers.

A lot of the London pantos are booking now. The one at Hackney Empire always seems to be well regarded.

Thanks for all your input, everyone.

Matilda (unless she's already seen it of course)

I saw Young Frankenstein in Newcastle (the development shows before it moved to the west end). It was fab but quite adult and risqué in content: I personally wouldn’t take a year 7. I agree Matilda is fantastic.

The Play That Goes Wrong or Peter Pan Goes Wrong are brilliant for all ages.

I took my Just about to start y7 dd to school of rock last weekend and she really enjoyed it.

We are going to see Matilda at Christmas.

School of Rock was a big hit and The Play that goes wrong is hillarious.

Phantom of the Opera?

Thank you all - we went for School of Rock in the end. Tickets on their way!
