Hi - we will be soon be going to Cornwall - staying in marazion, near Penzance.

Our boys are getting older - 10, 13 and 15 - and whilst we’ll still be doing beach, walks etc I’m looking for recommendations of anything else we should see see or do whilst we’re there. Indoors or outdoors.

Thanks in advance

Your boys would probably enjoy Coast 2 Coast Karting at Hayle.
There's an escape room at St Ives called Escpae Time which we did once in the evening after a day at the beach. We did the Chocolate Factory themed escape and it was great fun for the whole family.
Flambards Theme Park has an assortment of rides, including some thrill ones for adrenaline junkies.
Marine Discovery do the best sea safari boat trips.

Poldark Mine and Heritage Centre do good tours down the old mine. Tours last for about an hour.
Penzance Bike Hire hire bikes for the day, they also do guided bike tours.

Family surfing lesson?

Hiring a motor boat for the day on a river?

The National Maritime Museum in Falmouth is pretty good.

I've never been but there's a tin mine called Poldark mine in Helston

How about a show at the outdoors minack theatre?

St Michaels mount?

There's an open air pool at Penzance. I don't think there are any water slides or anything interesting but it's a change of scene from the beach! I think they're allowed to take inflatables too (double check that!) which of course wouldn't be safe in the sea.

Helicopter to the Scilly isles for the day? You'll pretty much need to remortgage your house but i bet the boys would love it.

Follow the Jubilee Pool on Facebook, they do occasionally have an inflatables session, but it's weather and tide dependant.

You're going to be opposite St Michael's Mount, so it would be a shame not to at least go over even if you don't pay to go up to the Castle!

Maybe a day trip to Newquay.

Do your boys surf? Have a look at Sennen Cove for the Smart Surf School. Shameless plug for my old schoolmates business there!

You could helicopter one way to the IoS and ferry back.

Cycling. There’s the Tarika trail from Bodmin to Wadebridge and then on to Padstow. You can hire bikes at BodmiBikes and cycle to Padstow, celebrate with a well earned lunch and then cycle back. There’s no traffic, very safe and good ice cream regularly along the way. Smile

Stand up Paddle boarding lesson with Lawrence around St Michael's Mount, brilliant fun and Lawrence is such a lovely guy. He let us keep the boards for an 1hr extra after lesson was over. My kids were 9 and 11. There's a beautiful bakery in Marazion whose fresh Cornish pasties are to die for. Eden project is a good day out. St Michael's mount itself has stunning views from the top. Fishing from one of the many wee harbours around Cornwall is great fun.
Healeys Cider farm is a great, lots of opportunities to taste different ciders and Apple juices for the kids.
Country Skittles is a wee hidden gem, indoor bowling, air hockey, pool/snooker in a lovely rustic farmhouse setting with yummy food. Lands End. Padstow for fish and chips 😁
Gawd I wish I was going this yr, so much to do, so many beautiful beaches. Have an amazing time !!

Geevor tin mine if its super hot is a great place to cool down. There a working Clay mine too but can't remember the name. Football golf is a giggle.

About 1hr 20 min from Penzance, but Adrenaline Quarry might be right up your boys’ street.
